At TimeFormatConversion.com, we believe that your data is yours. We are a privacy-first Time Converter utility. This policy outlines how we handle your information.
1. Local Processing (Client-Side First)
The vast majority of Time Conversion operations happen directly within your web browser using JavaScript.
- When you paste a timestamp or date string, it is processed locally on your device.
- We do not send your standard input data to our servers.
- This ensures that sensitive timestamps (e.g., from internal logs) never leave your machine.
2. AI Smart Parsing Data
If you use our "Smart Parsing" feature (entering natural language like "tomorrow at 5pm"), this specific text string is sent to our AI processing endpoint.
- Purpose: To interpret human language and return a structured date object.
- Retention: We do not store or log your input text permanently. It is processed in ephemeral instances and discarded immediately after the response is generated.
- No PII: Please do not enter Personally Identifiable Information (PII) into the AI input field.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We use local storage technology to improve your experience. This data stays on your device.
- Preferences: We save your selected timezone (e.g., "UTC" or "Local") and UI settings (e.g., Dark/Light mode) so you don't have to reset them every visit.
- No Tracking Cookies: We do not use cookies to track your browsing history across other websites.
4. Analytics
We use privacy-friendly analytics (like Google Analytics 4) to understand general usage patterns (e.g., "Which Time format is most popular?"). This data is aggregated and anonymized. We do not track individual user behavior at a granular level.
